For those battling the brave fight against cancer & post recovery & honestly for overall optimum health I posted recently about the incredible benefits of coconut water. Incredibly hydrating but it also has more potassium per serving than bananas.
But- not everyone is a fan of the taste (it’s great blended in smoothies) so I experimented with a recipe that Peter can’t stop drinking & honestly I’ve seen his dehydration issues kept at bay (which can always be an issue for cancer patients). I created a sort of Gingerale Coconut Water Hybrid Recipe.
Simple- fresh squeezed lemon juice added to coconut water (try & find raw coconut water) & homemade ginger syrup. Ginger syrup is so easy to make, you can keep it in your fridge for up to 2 weeks, fresh cut ginger (about 3-4 good size pieces, unpeeled) 1 tablespoon organic honey, 5 cups of water. Reduce to about half.
Mix the coconut water, lemon juice, ginger syrup to your taste (ginger is spicy so it’s up to you how much you add). The combination cuts the taste of the coconut water, gives you the detox properties of the lemon is tummy soothing & you get the healing benefits of the ginger.
Be Well, pass it along, Love Tamara. 🇨🇦👩🏻🍳❤️🙏
