The Blue Green Algae of the Gods, & I’m not exaggerating.
One thing to know about me, I’m a mad researcher, who happens to be a chronic insomniac – with a photographic memory.
So when I say that I’ve spent hundreds & hundreds & hundreds of hours of research on diet, cancer fighting therapies, recipes, testimonials – I’m not kidding.
One thing I kept coming across was Spirulina. It’s a form of green algae & I kept reading about how it was helping cancer patients. It’s a major antioxidant, it’s a source of protein, it’s a super food in the purest form.
So imagine my elation when I found it at our local health food store. It came in a tub, powder form (you can buy the capsule form but I read about the better quality & control of the dose when in powder form). I’m not going to lie. I gave a big dose of this (1 tablespoon) to Peter in a glass of water & it smelled like pond scum, it tasted just about the same.
So I experimented a bit. I put half a teaspoon in a blender with half a banana, a bit of fresh squeezed orange or tangerine juice (this is key to cut the pond scum taste), some almond or coconut milk, some fresh or frozen blackberries or blueberries, a dash of avocado Seed powder, a couple of apricot seeds – a source of vit B17, distilled water. Blend until smooth (it should be a bit runny, not like a thick milkshake). Don’t be disturbed by the grey smoothie you are about to consume. It actually tastes amazing.
When Peter is busy, we’re on the road, he’s low energy – this is now our go to dish.
I swear – within 1 day, I saw his energy boost through the roof. It was astounding. It made me so grateful I literally burst into tears (I never thought my torturous insomnia would ever be a blessing).
You must get this powder.
