This recipe is so easy, delicious & tummy soothing. This is great for the brave ones battling cancer & going through chemo to hydrate & settle the stomach without tons of sugar.
Gingerale Syrup Recipe
4 cups distilled water
2 1/2 cups unpeeled chopped fresh ginger
1/2 fresh lemon
1 teaspoon organic honey (or you can substitute agave sugar or coconut honey)
Optional – sprigs of mint (which is also tummy soothing)
Bring the mixture to a boil, lower to simmer for 20-25 minutes.
Strain through a fine sieve. Cool Syrup down & add to a glass of sparkling water- I usually add 2 tablespoons but you can add more if you want it spicier & more honey or lemon for extra sweetness. My son loves it with with frozen raspberries!
