I’m more of a Savoury Chef – baking hasn’t really been my thing – but my kids love it when they come home from school & smell fresh bread baking in the oven. So for them I’ve kept recipe testing going until I found one that passes the test!
After tons of recipe testing, trial & error & I won’t lie, a few concrete loaves baked- I’ve finally found a recipe that is SO easy & fool proof, I’m making 2 loaves daily & they get eaten just as fast.
I’m now working on a Gluten Free Version (stay tuned for the outcome tomorrow)- but pass this recipe along to your friends so they can feel like a bread making Jedi too!

4 Ingredient No Knead Bake in a Pot Bread Recipe
In a large bowl combine these dry ingredients
3 cups All Purpose or Best for Bread Flour, 1 1/2 teaspoon Dry Active Yeast, 1 1/2 teaspoon Sea Salt.
Slowly add 1 1/2 cup warm water. Stir together with the dry ingredients- the mixture will be sticky & loose but don’t worry- the Yeast will kick off the party as the bread dough proofs.
Cover with plastic wrap & store in a warm dark place for 12-18 hours (I like to put my proofing bread mixture in the oven – turned off of course- it is dark, out of the way & free of drafts).
Your final product will look like the 1st picture I posted- it will be puffed up, bubbly & quite wet. Here comes the easy part – in the same bowl, add a good amount of flour to form a ball. In the meantime, preheat the oven to 450 degrees, place to preheat in the oven a cast iron pot (any good oven safe pot that is deep enough to hold the bread with a lid will work).
Once the pot is preheated, add your bread dough- no oil or extra flour is needed. Pop the lid on & bake for 30 minutes. For the last 15-20 minutes, remove the lid to get that golden crust.
I swear- this recipe is SO easy, it works every time- it’s crispy on the outside, soft on the inside- my kids can’t get enough! Try this recipe, pass it along to friends. ❤
